Tesla Joined World AI Conference in Shanghai With Autopilot cars and Tesla Robot

     On July 6, 2023, Tesla joined World AI Conference in The 2023 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) in Shanghai,with its Autopilot cars (Tesla Model Y and Model X ) and Tesla Robot, both of which are are the torchbearers of the Tesla Vision AI(Artificial Intelligence). Tesla’s Robot is called “Optimus”, which is Tesla’s  first-generation humanoid robot. According to the news, this Robot stands 1.65 meters tall, can walk at 5 kilometers per hour and carry objects of 50 kilograms. The Optimus was officially revealed to the world October, 2023 by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who claimed that the robot would, among other things, be able to water plants, transport boxes and move metal bars. In November, 2022, a copy of Optimus was already exhibited at the China International Import Expo, but the robot did not demonstrate any of its capabilities. 

      On July 6, 2023, Elon Musk also delivered an online speech at WAIC. According to him, "In the future we will have a very large number of robots… It seems like it may at some point exceed a 1 to 1 ratio (of robot vs human), meaning more robots than humans." In terms of AI cars, Tesla is far ahead in AI and no other car companies is anywhere close to Tesla.

       According to Brand Value (China) Network, although Tesla is developing several technologies that fall under the broader umbrella of AI — such as self-driving software and Optimus robot , Tesla is still an auto company. One of the reasons is that its AI teams has only 1,000 employees while Tesla’s total number of employees in 2021 was 99,290. Although Elon Musk said that this robot is expected to cost much less than a car, he also mentioned that“within three to five years you could probably receive an Optimus.”

     Tesla is an American multinational automotive and clean energy company headquartered in Austin，Texas and one of the most valuable automakers in the world. The company got its name from Nikola Tesla, an inventor and electrical engineer. In 2004, Elon Musk became the largest shareholder of the company by a $6.5million investment and in 2008, he served as CEO. In 2019， Tesla established Tesla Gigafactory in Shanghai, the first Gigafactory outside the United States. In April, 2023, it announced that it planned to build a new mega factory in Shanghai, which will be dedicated to manufacturing the company's energy-storage product Megapack.
