Why Not Visit Mount Wuyi During the Spring Festival?

Mount Wuyi is located between Yanshan County, Jiangxi Province and Mount Wuyi City, Fujian Province. It is a national 5A level tourist attraction and also a world cultural and natural dual heritage (one of the four world cultural and natural dual heritages in China, and the other three are Taishan, Huangshan and Mount Emei and Mount Leshan Giant Buddha). Of course it is also the first famous mountain in Fujian. Famous scenic spots include Thin Strip of Sky, Jiuqu River, Shuilian Cave, Yunv Peak and Tianyou Peak, etc., which are good choices for holidays.

Jiuqu River Bamboo Rafting

Bamboo rafting is the most distinctive feature of Mount Wuyi tourism in Fujian Province, just as the saying goes “if you don't take a bamboo raft, you will come here for nothing when going to Mount Wuyi”. Sit on an antique bamboo raft about 2 meters wide and 9 meters long, and drift down the Jiuqu River with a total length of about 9.5 kilometers. You can go with the raft leisurely. The drop of the Jiuqu stream is not very big, but you can feel the extension of nature in the meandering of the Jiuqu stream, feel the spirit of nature in the clearness of the stream, and feel the magical wonderment of the nature in the scenery beside the stream.

Yunv Peak

Mount Wuyi’s Yunv Peak is located in the south of Erqu River, Jiuqu River. It is named for its resemblance to a slim girl. There are clusters of flowers on the top of the peak, just like mountain flowers inserted into one’s hair; the rock walls are beautiful and smooth, like jade carvings, and when viewed from the water on a bamboo raft, it looks like a beautiful girl.

Thin Strip of Sky

Thin Strip of Sky, also known as Divine Rock, is located at the southwest end of Mount Wuyi. It is the strangest cave in Mount Wuyi, well known with the title “Wonderful Workmanship”. Thin Strip of Sky exists in a deep canyon to the south of Erqu, Jiuqu River. Inside, a majestic and upright boulder stands. When entering the inside rock from Fuxi Cave and reaching the depths, you can look up to see a crack on the top of the rock, just like being split by a sharp ax. A line of sky leaks through it, like a rainbow across the sky, which is the so-called breathtaking “Thin Strip of Sky”.
